新しい仲間の皆さん、
ESHExperience, Strength, and Hope - 経験と力と希望グループ
へ、そしてAAへようこそ。今週のテーマ：その変化は、どのようにあなたに訪れましたか？「あの」変化ですね。つながりたての頃を振り返ると……最初の変化は身体的なものでした。ソーバーになって2日目、スクラブル（ボードゲーム）をしていたとき、手が震えてタイルをマスに置くことができませんでした。それはとても恥ずかしかったです。
誰も笑いませんでした。私の姉や一緒にスクラブルをしていた仲間たちも、私と同じ理由でダフィーズ（回復施設）に来ていました ―― 元気になるためです。爆発しそうなほど私を縛りつけていた不安感が、徐々に解き放たれ、消えていきました。それは無くなったのです。
他の仲間たちの体験談を聞き、最後の一杯を飲んだ頃の自分は、思っていたほどひどい人間ではなかったことに気づきました。生きたいという欲求を取り戻し、それが可能であると信じられるようになったのです。
その3週間の間に、新しい人生の基盤（
ハイヤーパワー（HP=ハイヤーパワー）神、または高次の力、自分を超えた大きな力。意志と生き方をゆだねる対象。

）が築かれました。その数週間のことを思い出し、心と頭と感情で振り返る機会をいただき、感謝します。

Good afternoon. Pam, a grateful alcoholic. Congratulations, Dominic…lots of back to back days since April 2, 2001. Happy birthday!
Welcome newcomers to ESH, to AA. Topic: how did the change come over you? THAT change. Harkening back to the quasi beginning…the first change was physical. Two days without alcohol and I was playing scrabble when my hand shook so badly I couldn’t put the tile on the square. That was embarrassing.
No one laughed. My sister/fellow scrabble players were at Duffy’s for the same reason as I…to get well. The gradual overall release of anxiety that had kept me feeling like I would explode went away. Gone.
Listening to other peoples’ stories and realizing I wasn’t the awful person I thought I was before taking that last drink. Regaining a desire to live and trusting that could happen.
So within that three week period the foundation (find a higher power, meetings, sponsor, read the Book, 12 steps) for a new life was forged. Thank you for the opportunity to deliberately, mentally and emotionally, visit those few weeks.
