Why? asked my overweight seer.

You're sober, aren't you? asked my wise sponsor, giving me the look that he was saying something important. So, twelfth-stepping was meant to help me, as well.
After accompanying Greg on more than a few twelfth step calls, I learned it is best to not visit the person while he was still drinking. "Call me in the morning if you still feel the same" was Greg's stock answer. No doubt about it, folks are more amenable to listen when they're experiencing one hell of a hangover. And that's the way it works for me.
