の仲間、ようこそ。バースデーを迎えられた方、おめでとうございます。先週の火曜日、11月21日に、ソーバー1年を祝ってもらいました。グループ全体・お一人お一人、そして、ＡＡの手を差し伸べてくれたＡＡに感謝しています。興味深い回復でした。（21年以上のソーバーがありました。その後、6年以上、飲んだくれてしまったのです。）シェアする機会をいただき、ありがとうございます。今週のテーマから、「伝統１１」を思い浮かべました。以下は、「12＆12」の186ページ（日本語

「私たちの広報活動の特徴は、個人名を伏せた無名性にある。ＡＡはセンセーショナルな宣伝を避けるべきだと考える。ＡＡメンバーとして名前や写真を、電波、映像、活字にのせるべきではない。私たちの広報活動は宣伝ではなく、ひきつける魅力に基づくべきである。ＡＡのことを自画自賛する必要は少しもない。ＡＡの友人たちに推奨してもらうほうがよいと私たちは考える。」
対面ミーティングに戻ってから、他の仲間と同じように、いろいろな人に出会います。今回、新しい発見がありました。

の引用・参照を、ソーシャルメディアに投稿する仲間です。元の投稿者は、匿名のままです。すっと気になっていました。ここに取り上げてみようと考えました。私自身の回復については、自分にはやるべきことがあります。でも、心配なことがあります。若い仲間が、ズームや対面のミーティングではなく、ソーシャルメディアを通じて、「指導者」に従うのではないか、ということです。これでは、ＡＡの本質からそれてしまっています。もし、あなたの身の回りで、このようなことがあれば、あなたの経験に興味があります。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING
The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we suggest that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.
Comments should be closely related to recovery from alcoholism. "The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morninganytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST."
All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Hi everyone, my name is Pam and I am an alcoholic. Welcome to anyone new to this meeting or to AA. Congratulations to anyone celebrating any length of sobriety. This past Tuesday, November 21, I celebrated one year sober. For that I am grateful to this entire group, individual members of this group, and for every AA anywhere who made sure the hand of AA was outstretched. It has been an interesting climb back (I was 21+ years sober, returned to drinking for 6+ years); I’m grateful to have the chance. For this week’s topic, Tradition Eleven comes to mind. Here is the Long Form from page 186 of Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions:
“Our relations with the general public should be characterized by personal anonymity. We think A.A. ought to avoid sensational advertising. Our names and pictures as A.A. members ought not be broadcast, filmed, or publicly printed. Our public relations should be guided by the principle of attraction rather than promotion. There is never need to praise ourselves. We feel it better to let our friends recommend us.”
Since returning to f2f meetings, I meet people from all walks of life as one does in AA. Something that is new to me this time is people posting Big Book quotes and references to their social media pages, which do not keep the original poster anonymous. Since it keeps bothering me I thought I’d bring it up here. I obviously have my own fish to fry in terms of my own recovery. It truly does worry me, though, that younger people might follow “leaders” along via social media rather than actual meetings via Zoom or f2f. And miss the essence of AA. I’d be interested in your experiences with this, if it even comes up in your world.
Please feel free to make this a gratitude meeting if you wish, as we wind down Thanksgiving week in the U.S. I hope everyone’s week has been relatively peaceful. Thank you for allowing me to chair.
