記念日は1972/6/30 です。
歳をとることは、言われてきたほどに容易なことではなく、今週は多くの困難が待ち受けていました ... 災難というほどではありませんが、それでも私の毎日を困難なものにしています。私にとってのシンプルな解決法は、自分が本当は何者なのかを思い出し、何度も何度も自分に言い聞かせることです。私は神の子であり、それは私がしがみついていられる最も重要な真実なのです。「これもまた過ぎ去るもの」と私が教えられ、経験してきたように。私は今、"ひどいミックス" の中に生きていますが、すぐに "素晴らしいミックス" の中で生きることになります。人生とはそういうものです。AAの霊的な原理は私に、耐え忍ぶこと、忍耐強くあること、そして自分の能力を最大限に発揮すること、本当の自分に忠実であることを教えてくれました。

という呪い／祝福がなければ、このような単純な真実に気づくことはなかったでしょう。詩が好きだった私の夫の言葉を引用します： 「私と一緒に年をとろう。最良のものはまだある。最初の人がお創りになった、終（つい）の人生。」

Thank you, Chuck, for chairing this week and Happy A.A. Anniversary to all who celebrate sobriety in this month of August.
My name is Louise, recovered alcoholic, and my sobriety date is June 30, 1972
This growing old is not for sissies as I've been told, and this week has brought many challenges...not disasters, mind you, but still, they have made my days difficult. There is one simple solution for me and that is to remember and tell myself over and over again, who I really am. I am a child of God and that is the most important truth that I can hold on to.As I have been taught and have experienced: "This Too Shall Pass".I am living in the "awful mix" today, but soon I will be living in the "wonderful mix". Such is life.The spiritual principles of A.A. have taught me to persevere, to be patient, and to the best of my capability, to be true to my real self. I would not have found out these simple truths had it not been for the curse/blessing of alcoholism. As my husband, who loved poetry, would quote: "Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be, the last of life for which the first was made."
