テリーの方は弱っています。アルツハイマーが進んで、
介護に必要なものを手配しているところです。援助が必要になることは分かっています。
必要になる前に確保しなくてはなりません。彼女は、精神的には元気です。
でも、体が衰弱していることは自覚しています。
私も、そして、彼女も落ち込んでいるんですよ、お分かりでしょ。
でも、「今日一日」で、２人で仲良く、楽しんで生きますよ。

Thanks so much, dear Louise! What a great share — and also two of my
favorite stories. It’s great to hear from you.
I’m done with cancer treatment and feeling quite well. Terri continues
to decline and I am lining up resources to help me care for her as the
Alzheimer’s progresses. I know I will need help, and I need to identify
it before it’s necessary. She remains in good spirits, but is very aware
that she is declining. I know you can imagine my heartbreak — and hers.
But we’ll continue to enjoy each other’s company one day at a time.
