は年月を重ねるうちにメンバーが変わっていきましたが、最終的には私の家だけで週に一度のミーティングが行われるようになりました。何という神さまの贈り物でしょう。この同じミーティングは、まだ私の家で行われ続けています。とはいえ、私たちが若かったころほどではありません。私が、路上で暴れたり走ったりしていたとき、その頃に知り合った女性たちにミーティングへ連れて行かれ、AAの楽しみ方を教えられました。ピクニック、ダンスなどなど。私の最初の

は、あのときの女性たちの中の一人でした。二人とも子どもがいて、それでなんでも一緒にするようになりました。私は、おそらく多くを失っているでしょう。しかし、私の人生を大きく変えた何人かの仲間がいるのです。

Thanks George for getting us started this week. Where do I begin? I've had so much given to me by others in AA that it gets overwhelming. My youngest son had to have major surgery on his legs when he was really young and a husband and wife came to Shriner's and took me to dinner and stayed with me, not only that the wife would take me to doctor appointments when I couldn't hardly walk. I'm talking about waiting like 5 hours to see the doctor. My homegroup which has changed people over the years ended up coming only to my house for our weekly meeting. What a godsend. This same meeting is still going on in my house albeit not as strong as it was when we were younger. Women I knew back in the day, when I was ripping and running on the streets, took me to meetings and showed me how to have fun in AA, picnics, dances etc. My first sponsee was one of these women and we both had kids so we would do things together. I am probably missing a lot but these are some of the people that have made a huge difference in my life.
