Hi, everyone. My name is Dave and I am an alcoholic. Thanks for a great topic and lead, Tony, and for your friendship and example of recovery all these years. Congrats to AA (and HP!) for any milestones we celebrate this week, like Tony’s 35 years. The program works! I gave out the chips at one of my regular meetings tonight and had the privilege to deliver hugs with two 90-day chips, a one year chip and another for 15 years! It works!
So, I’m still not great at asking for help, but I’m better than I was. I’ll take the progress along with a reminder that there is still room - and need - for growth. When I am willing to ask another for help, I am giving the gift of being of service to someone else. I know how grateful I am to have that opportunity.
