Some practical attributes I've adopted since joining AA include:
Paying my bills on time (except for donating money to ESH)
My best not to let a friend down.
Honor my marriage vows.
Not seek to be the life of any party.
Drive soberly and safely, not necessarily slowly.
Treat my neighbors and all others with honest respect.
Work with other alcoholics to the best of my ability.
Hold my temper much better when surrounded by idiots.
Attempt to be the best father to my adult children.
Guide my grandsons with AA principles.
And that's the way it works for me.
