Dear ESH Family Good morning, my name is Susan and I am an alcoholic, sober one day at a time since 9/1/90, since God removed the mental compulsion to drink. Happy Anniversary in a couple of days Lin...you've been a great role model for me and I thank you for your friendship. I am glad we've had a couple of new members to the group lately and look forward to getting to know them. Sometimes it is hard to believe I've known a large group of you for the most part of 30 years. I am truly grateful. My journey with being of service in this life saving program has been mostly taken from the God given talents that I used while I was still employable before coming to AA. I was a legal assistant by trade and that fit very well with most service positions, so that is where I have spent the bulk of my time...at all levels of service to this group, our District and State in Vermont. I still have a mental illness outside of alcoholism that I need to address daily and I ask God to keep me sober, sane and in His service each day. I pray what He would have me do and say today and please grace me with the power needed to perform His work well. It is why I am still alive and will continue to thrive as time goes by. Thanks for the meeting this week. I love you all and appreciate all of your ESH. Blessings, Susan
