また今週のミーティングで、皆さんとご一緒できて嬉しいです。スーザン、今週の司会をありがとう。
年を重ねるにつれて、小さく考えることが容易になるように思えます。しかし実際のところは、
ソブラエティ神様・ハイヤーパワーとつながり、お酒を飲まない生活
を始めて早い段階で、すべてを自分でやる必要はないことに気付きました。まだ飲んでいた頃には、その点で少し苦労しました。その一因は、自分を忙しくしていたかったことと、それでも何も問題がないように見せかけたいという欲求でした ... 私はうまくやっているように見せかけていました。家はきれいで、食卓には食事が並び、PTAに関わり、仕事も効率的にこなしていました。自分が消費している酸素に値する存在であることを証明しなければならないように感じていましたが、それはとても辛いことでした。私は一度も目立とうとか、大物になろうとか考えたことはありませんでした。成長する中で、それは他の重要な人々のためのものだと思っていました。
回復の過程で、今まで持ったことのなかった自尊心を得ました ... そして、私たち一人一人には神の計画に従った独自の才能があることを学びました。そして、神は無駄なものを作らないことも学びました。私はとても平凡な女性ですが、それでいいんです。私は私であり、それがすべてです。なんて素晴らしい安らぎでしょう。

Hi ESH friends,
It's great to be with you for another meeting.. and thanks, dear Susan, for leading us this week.
It seems to me that the older I get, the easier it is for me to think small. But truthfully, I discovered early in sobriety that I really don't have to do it all. I did struggle with that a bit while still drinking. Part of it was my desire to be busy and keep up the appearance that there was nothing to see here.... I was managing OK. My house was clean, there were meals on the table, involved with PTA, efficient at work, etc. I felt like I had to prove I was worthy of the oxygen I was consuming.. and it was hard. I've never really been one to try to make a big splash or a great name for myself. Growing up I thought that was for other, important people.
In recovery, I attained self esteem, which I'd never had... and I learned that we each have our own gifts, according to God's plan for us. And that He doesn't make any junk. I'm a pretty simple woman... and I'm OK with that. I am what I am... and that's all that I am. What a blessed relief!
