とAAへようこそ。それと今週マイルストーンを迎える仲間、おめでとう。私たちに与えられたのは、なんて素晴らしい人生なんでしょう。
私の名前はリン・チェンバレン、アルコホリックです。?985年5月20日に初めてAAに参加して以来、私は今日も、神様の恩寵と皆さんの手助けによってソーバーです。その個人的な奇跡に、私は自分がどうあるべきか知っている限り、確かに感謝しています。
AAに来たとき、私は道に迷い、反抗的で、自暴自棄になっていて、自分のものを取り戻し、元の生活に戻るために必要な時間以上は、本気で酒をやめる気はありませんでした。
デトックスという非常に困難な道のりをドライブしながら、ミーティングとミーティングの合間に窓からゲロを吐き出して、後部座席の "何か "に話しかけられたり、振り向くと視界からギリギリ飛び出してきたりしながら、ソーバーを続けているうちに......私は少しやる気が出てきました。
年を重ねるにつれ、私はAAとフェローシップに深く関わるようになり、また関わり続け、他の仲間たちと協力し、国内のあらゆる場所で、そしていくつかの他の国で、素晴らしいミーテイングにも恐ろしいミーティングにも行くようになりました。私が一番好きなのは、ミーティングの始まりの言葉 ...... プレアンブル（序文）、それと How It Works 、それからミーティングの初めと終わりの読み合わせです。私は熱心なバプテスト教徒だったので、今でも賛美歌を聴くのが大好きなのです ........ そしてAAの朗読は、私自身とつながっているという感覚を与えてくれます。それはずっと探していたのに、自分でもわからなかった帰属意識なのです。

Good evening all you ESHr's. Welcome to all newbies to ESH or to AA and congrats to all those celebrating milestones this week. What an awesome life we have been given.
My name is Lin Chamberlain and I am an alcoholic. I am sober today by God's Grace and with your help and have been since my first AA meeting on May 20th, !985 and for that personal miracle I am certainly as grateful as I know how to be.
When I got to AA I was lost, rebelious, desparate, and not really willing to quit drinking for any longer than it would take to get my stuff together and get back to my life.
As I stayed sober on a very difficult path of detoxing driving around throwing up out my window between meetings with "things" in the back seat talking to me and just barely jumping out of my vision when I turned to look...I got a bit more willing.
As the years accumulated and I have become and stayed vitally involved in AA and the fellowship and working with others and going to wonderful and horrible meetings all over the country and a few other countries...what I love the most is just the repetition of the start of the meeting...the preamble, the How it Works, other readings before and ending the meetings. I was a well brought up Baptist girl and I still love to hear hymms...and the AA readings give me that feeling of being connected and finding my way home. A sense of belonging that I was always looking for and didn't recognize.
