What a privilege it is to be able to lead on the weekend of my 33rd year in Alcoholics Anonymous. My name is Susan and I am an alcoholic, recovered from a hopeless state of mind, body and spirit by God since 9/1/90. I've chosen two sections from the Appendices II - Spiritual Experience - of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous on pages 567-8 (4th Edition). From page 567 - Paragraph #3 - *"He finally realized that he has undergone a profound alteration in his reaction to life; that such a change could hardly have been brought about by himself alone."*

From page 568 - Paragraph #3 "*We find that no one need have difficulty with the spirituality of the program. Willingness, honesty and open mindedness are the essentials of recovery. But these are indispensable."* (Many pardons to our grammarian, Lisa H., as I don't know and seemingly am not willing to learn how to correctly quote from literature.) This has been and continues to be my experience...profound alterations to my reactions to life - with God at the Command - praying *ALWAYS *for willingness, honesty and open mindedness.
