I'm Nancy and I'm alcoholic. I heard the Serenity Prayer at my first meeting. My thought was, "That's a nice little prayer, I hope I can hear it again someday." I had no idea how much I would hear it and it would become a part of my daily life. I knew AA was "secret" so imagine my surprise when I went to the dentist and the prayer was framed on the wall of his office. I figured he was in AA, but didn't ask him.
