I’m Lin Chamberlain and I’m an alcoholic. I’m sober by God’s Grace and with your help since my first meeting on May 20th, 1985. For this personal miracle I am grateful. Louise…such a joy to know you and have met you in person. I know you did not get and stay sober for us but allowing us to observe has been a great blessing to so many. Thank you.
I could not imagine why God with all the other things he had done to ME would make me alcoholic on top of it. The only thing that made me ok was taken away that first meeting but I whined and moaned and scratched and fought to hang on to MY WAY even though it was killing me. I was sent to take panties to other bad mothers and cigarettes…I didn’t have the $$ for that bull..but somehow it came. Working with others and learning to care and love them let me get off my own back over my mistaken beliefs. That filsy reed did turn out to be the power that would transform my life and many others around me.
My daughter is home resting from another hand surgery. She just sent me and two others her meds list and schedule so we can track the meds necessary to allow her to move that hand as it heals. I remember exactly the sponsor who had me do that after my triple bypass in 08. We pass on what works to set us up to stay sober too. I just got another share from an 8 person gratitude list text tha started after the recent death of my sponsor. It has been totally helpful.
