は、病気の母親の介護や、転職や引っ越しで大変な時期がありましたが、彼女がおかしくならないために、私は電話をしたり訪問したり会いに行ったりしました。
他の仲間は、数年来の再飲酒と戦っていて、妻をケアセンターに預け、経済的に生き残る方法を考え、原家族に埋め合わせをしようとしています。私はそれに付き合いました。
そうは言っても私も人間なので、スリップ常習犯の

に、そういつも付き合ってはいられません。私自身の
ソブラエティ神様・ハイヤーパワーとつながり、お酒を飲まない生活
と心の平安が第一だからです。
AA、特にこのグループ（そして私と一緒に他のオンライングループに参加した女性たち！）は私にもたらされた最高の出来事です。私は今日もシラフで、私の人生は悪くありません。私の

I'm Nancy and I'm alcoholic. Sometimes I'm embarrassed and a tad guilty at how infrequently I attend AA meetings and reach out to newbies. I have a zillion reasons. Reading what Lin says here reminds me that there really are lots of ways to serve my Higher Power and the benefits in serving my fellow alcoholics. AND, I don't have to win a gold star and be applauded for my feats. I just have to show up - that is what keeps me sober! My sponsor has been going through a rough time, caring for her sick mother, changing jobs, moving, and trying to not go crazy. I call and visit. I show up. Another friend has been fighting a relapse from a couple of years ago, dealing with putting her wife in a Care Center, figuring out how to financially survive, and attempting to make amends with her birth family. I show up. However, I'm human and I can't always show up, such as for my repeat-addict stepdaughter, but I do what I can. My own sobriety and peace of mind must come first! AA, especially this group (and you ladies who were in those other online groups with me!), is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm sober today and my life is good. My Higher Power is working with me every day. I was very very grateful for my sobriety yesterday, Mother's Day, when I heard from my kids and grandkids. If I had not stopped drinking, they would not be in my life. Thanks for letting me share. Life is good! Nancy Shaw
