I am sober by God’s mercy and wi th your help since my first meeting on May 20, 1985. I’m truly g rateful for that awesome period of time. My home group in Housto n Tx puts it very simply. If you have had any booze or mind alte ring drugs in the past 24hrs we ask that you do not share becaus e we’d like to hear from you and not the alcohol. We encourage t hose folks who say yes they have to stick around after the meeti ng and we will be glad to talk to you. We encourage them to get numbers and not drink or use over night and come back tomorrow. And call us before they drink and give themselves a chance to ma ke it. Inaction is a decision.
