この1週間、分かち合ってくれてありがとう ... お気づきのように、今週は本当にタイミングが悪かったです。日付を間違えて、予定の1週間前にシェアしてしまい台無しにしました...しかも、実際のイベントの1週間前に、私の11年間の
ソブラエティ神様・ハイヤーパワーとつながり、お酒を飲まない生活
について大騒ぎしていたことになります。
今週、タイミングが悪かったのはこの失態だけではありません： ゲートが閉まる時間をよく見ていなかったため、5分遅れで飛行機に乗り遅れたのです；このようなことは2度目で、1度目はまだ酒を飲んでいて二日酔いでした。
今日の言い訳：年寄りの物忘れ？十分に正気に戻っていない？
とはいえ、私はかつてと同じ場所にいるわけではなく、酒を飲む必要も無いので、今ここにいます。それに、すべてをコントロールできているかのように振る舞うよりも、自分の間違いやめちゃくちゃさを認める方が助けになります。
長ったらしい言い方になってしまいました：平安の祈りの We バージョンで、ミーティングを閉めたいと思います。（移動中で、明日の昼間にこのメールを送るチャンスが無いので、少し早めに）
神様、私たちにお与えください。自分に変えられないものを受け入れる落ち着きを、変えられるものは変えてゆく勇気を、そして二つを見分ける賢さを。

Greetings all:
Thank you everyone for sharing this past week….and as several of you noticed, my timing has been really off this week. I seriously messed up the dates and shared a week before I was scheduled…and moreover, that means I was making a whole lot of hoopla about my 11 years of sobriety a week before the actual event.
This blunder was not the only bad timing this week: I missed a flight by five minutes because I didn’t look closely enough at the time the gate was closing; only the second time that’s happened, and the first was when I was still imbibing and had a massive hangover as an excuse.
Today my excuse: Senior moments? Not having been fully restored to sanity?
Regardless, I’m here because I’m not all there, and I don’t have to drink about it…. And it helps to admit I’m wrong and messed up rather than act as if I’ve got everything under control.
That’s a long winded way of saying: I’d like to close the meeting (a little early since I’m on the road and won’t have a chance to send this mid-day tomorrow) with the We version of the Serenity Prayer:
God Grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can and the wisdom to know the difference.
