をありがとう。仲間の皆さんを歓迎します。特に、傍観している仲間たち、読んでいるだけの仲間たち、自分には何も言うことがないと思っている仲間たちへ。今週、ぜひ皆さんがシェアしてくれることを願っています。覚えていてください —— 私たちにはできる。私一人ではできなくても。
もう3月だなんて信じられません……2025年は驚くほど早いスタートを切っています！3月になると、私はステップ３について考えます。「私たちの意志と生きかたを、自分なりに理解した神の配慮にゆだねる決心をした。」
私が初めてステップ3を体験したのは、カリフォルニア州ミラマーの海軍の治療センターにいたときでした。そこに数週間滞在し、自分がアルコホーリクであることは理解していました。また、自分よりも大きな「何か」がいて、それが私の

や惨めな人生を助けてくれることを「願って」いました。（もしそういったものがなければ、私は完全に詰んでいました！）

を読み、ミーティングに参加し、ステップ3について聞きましたが、それをどう「実践」すればいいのか分かりませんでした。まだ
スポンサーAAプログラムなどを指導してくれる先輩役のメンバー
もいなかったし、「自力でなんとかできる」という幻想を手放せずにいました。自分が理解もできず、説明もできない何かに、どうやって自分の意志と生き方をゆだねればいいのか？そこで、ステップ11をヒントにして、「半信半疑の神」に対して、「私にあなたの意志を教え、それを実行する力を与えてください」と祈り始めました。そのシンプルな祈りを続けながら、治療に専念し、その後、艦に戻り海軍のキャリアを再開しました。数ヶ月後、ミラマーの近くでステップスタディミーティングに参加したとき、初めてステップ3の全文を聞きました。そこには「決心をした……」と書かれていました。その瞬間、私はすでに決心をしていたことに気づいたのです。そして今、私はその選択に基づいて行動しています。そして、今もなお続けています。
今週のテーマとして、ステップ3についてのあなたの体験を共有してください —— 今の経験でも、初めてAAに来たときの経験でも構いません。ミーティングを始めます。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING
The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we suggest that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.
Comments should be closely related to recovery from alcoholism. "The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning anytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST."
All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Hi everyone. My name is Dave and I am an alcoholic. Thank you, Suanne, for the opportunity to lead this week and for your continued service to our group. I want to welcome you all — especially the lurkers and the readers and the folks who don’t think they have anything to add. I hope you’ll all share this week and remember that we can do what I can’t.
It’s hard to believe that it’s already March . . . 2025 is off to an incredibly fast start! The third month brings me to thoughts of the Third Step. “Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood him.”
My initial experience with Step Three came while I was in the Navy treatment center in Mirarmar, California. I had been there a couple of weeks and I knew I was an alcoholic. I also HOPED there was SOMETHING bigger than me that could help with my alcoholism and my miserable existence (if there wasn't, I was well and truly screwed!). I read the Big Book and went to meetings and heard about Step 3, but I didn’t know how to “Take” it. I didn’t have a sponsor yet, and the myth of self sufficiency was still going strong. How was I going to turn my will and life over to the care of something I didn’t understand and couldn’t describe? I took a hint from Step 11 and began to ask my “suspect God” for knowledge of his will for me and the power to carry that out. I kept up that simple prayer and went about my daily business of treatment and eventually returning to my ship and resuming my Navy career. A few months later, I was at a step study meeting near Miramar and for the first time I heard the entire step, beginning with “Made a decision . . . “. I realized at that moment that I had indeed already decided. Now I was acting on the choice. I still am.
