アルコホーリクのスアンです。ジョージ、テーマを提供してくれてありがとう。そして私たちのグループへの奉仕をしてくれてありがとう。
ご質問への答えですが、私は一日の始まりに祈りを捧げます。神が与えてくださった恵みに感謝し、今日もシラフで生きる再びのチャンスをいただいたことに感謝します。私は神に、自分の考えを導いてくださるようお願いしています。（なぜなら、時には私の考えはまったくもって歪んでいるからです。） そして、今日の私にとっての神の御心を示していただき、それを実行する力を与えてくださるよう願います。私は神の御心が何なのかを知る必要さえありません。ただ、神が示してくださると信じています。そして、神の御心が成されるようにと祈ります。
私の「収入を得るための仕事」は、今では週に1、2日ほどですが、病院で患者さんの受付をすることです。私はPRN（pro re nata - 必要に応じて働く形態）で勤務しており、病気や休暇で人手が足りないときにさまざまなクリニックを回ります。同じクリニックに固定されることはありません。特にご年配の方の中には、受付で使うタブレット端末がとても苦手な方もいて、できる限りお手伝いするようにしています。とても忙しい時は、全員に対応することはできませんが、それでもできる限り助けようと努めています。ほとんどボランティアのように感じることもあります。人それぞれ、どんな事情を抱えているかわかりません。だからこそ、私はできるだけ親切に接したいと思っています。私がお手伝いする人がアルコホーリクかどうかはわかりませんが、誰もが優しさに値することは確かです。私は、神がこの役割を私に与えてくださったのは、私が何かを学ぶため、または誰かに何かを伝えるためだと信じています。そして、神が私を次の場所へと導く準備ができたとき、新たな使命を与えてくださるようにと祈っています。この仕事の見返りはとても大きいのです。
人生は時に簡単ではありません。でも、答えは祈りの中に、書籍の中に、そして
スポンサーAAプログラムなどを指導してくれる先輩役のメンバー
に連絡を取ることの中にあると私は知っています。時には、ただ「今この瞬間に、自分がすべき正しいことをする」だけのこともあります。そのためには何らかの行動が必要です。私は感謝のリストを作ることをとても大切にしています。感謝できることは、いつも何かしらあるのです。

My name is Suanne and I am an alcoholic. Thanks George for the topic and for your service to our group.
In answer to your question, I start the day in prayer by thanking God for the blessings He has given me, another chance today to live a sober life. I ask Him to direct my thinking (because sometimes my thinking is plain old stinking thinking) and I ask Him to show me what His will is for me today, and to give me the power to do it. I don't even have to know what His will is, but I have faith God will show me. I ask that His will be done.
My "paying job" which is one or two days a week these days, is checking people in when you go to the doctor. I work PRN and rotate clinics for when people are sick or on vacation, and none of the clinics are ever the same. Especially the older folks, some people really hate the computer pads they have to check in on so I try to help them. There are times when we are extremely busy and I can't do it for everyone, but I sure try. It almost feels like this is volunteer work. You never know what's going on in people's lives and I try to be helpful. I never know if the person I am helping is alcoholic or not, but I do know everyone deserves kindness. I know God has me in this role for me to learn something or teach somebody something - and when He is ready for me to move on, I pray He will give me another assignment. The rewards are great.
Sometimes life isn't real easy. But I know the answers are in prayer, in the book and reaching out to my sponsor. Sometimes it's just doing the next right thing.. It requires some sort of action. I am super big on gratitude lists. There is always something to be grateful for.
