アルコホーリクにとって「初心を忘れない」ことが肝要です。さもなければ、自分がどこから来たのかを忘れ、過去の栄光に安住できると思い込んでしまうからです。それは私にとっては非常に危険な領域です…そして私は最初から、
ソブラエティ神様・ハイヤーパワーとつながり、お酒を飲まない生活
という贈り物がどれほど貴重であるかを毎日心に留めるよう努めてきました。
私は毎日、祈りから一日を始めます…この病のさらなる猶予を願い…当たり前のことではないのですが。祈りをささげるだけで、その日はそれで十分だと思い込むのも、少し物足りないと感じています。
私は地域の対面式の
ホームグループAAの中で自分が所属し、活動の拠点となるグループ
に参加しています そこに足を運ぶことで成長し、学び、自分が何者であるか、そしてこの居場所をどうつかみ取ったかを思い出す機会を与えられています。私はまた、このグループにも心から感謝しています…… 皆さんが私に触れ、私を鼓舞するその力は、皆さんが思っている以上に大きいのです。
そして私が初心を忘れないために実践している非常に素晴らしい方法は、オンライン・インターグループの
12ステップ12ステッププログラム、回復のため原理、AAの基本プログラム。

サービスAAの奉仕活動
活動です…世界中の人々からの助けを求める声に応え続けます。毎日、一日も休まず、365日。これらのメッセージを毎日欠かさず読み、返信しています…彼らをAAの救いの場へと導こうとしています。多くの人々がどん底を経験する話を聞くことは、私にとって神が与えるような気づきとなる...この奉仕の仕事に出会えて本当に感謝しています。

Greetings, dear ESH friends...
It's very good to be with you for another meeting and I'm very grateful for your service, Duane. Wishing you a warm congratulations on your AAnniversary... 20 years is awesome! And welcome to our newest member, Clipper.
It's vital for this alcoholic to "keep it green", lest I forget where I came from and think I can rest on my laurels. That's very dangerous territory for me.... and I've strived since the beginning to be mindful each day how precious the gift of sobriety is.
I start every day with prayer.. asking for another reprieve of this disease.. not taking it for granted. I also feel that it's not quite enough to utter a prayer and assume I'm good for the day.
I'm involved in a local, face to face home group and by showing up there I am given the opportunity to grow, learn and be reminded of who I am and how I earned my seat. I'm also very grateful for this group.... You all touch me and inspire me more than you know.
And a very awesome way I keep it green is by volunteer service on the 12 Step Committee of Online Intergroup.. answering calls for help from folks all over the world, day in and day out, 365 days all year. Not a day goes by that I don't read and answer these messages.. trying to steer them to the saving rooms of AA. Listening to so many people reaching their bottoms is a blessed reminder for me.... I'm so grateful I found this service work.
