の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、9月にはステップ9や伝統9についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

今週のテーマに移ります。「謙虚（humility）」という言葉は、『（英語版）』の13ページ、63ページ、68ページ、72ページ、73ページ、そして88ページに出てきます。

私のオックスフォード英語辞典（OED）では、**humility（謙虚さ）**を「謙虚であるという性質」と定義しています。

それに加えて、OED（オックスフォード英語辞典）は humble（謙虚な） を、「自分の重要性を低く見積もる、またはそのように示すこと」と説明しています。

やAAの仲間たちのミーティングの中では、謙虚さ（humility）は前向きな力である と述べられています。

今週のテーマは ── 「あなたには謙虚さがありますか？」 です。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in September you may share on Step 9 or Tradition 9. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats. Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning anytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Moving on to this week's topic, the word humility is found in the Big Bool on pages 13, 63, 68, 72, 73 and 88.

My Oxford English Dictionary (OED) defines humility, as "The quality of being humble."

Added to that, The OED describes Humble as "Having or showing a low estimate of one's importance."

It's stated in our Big Book and among AA folks in AA meetings that humility is a positive force. This week's topic: "Do you possess humility?"
