To the question…do you possess humility? Ego, pride, arrogance all float through since those were character traits discovered early in sobriety. How to deal with them has been an ongoing exercise…progress not perfection. Since first reading the topic, I’ve had this nudge that humility and being humble aren’t quite the same. Being a wordy-nerd I sought the dictionary and discovered they are indeed different and yes…can claim both in connotation and definition. Staying with your topic humility, “the desire to grow and learn” is part of practicing the steps to maintain sobriety, to keep this gift so freely given.
