ジョージ、今週のテーマ「あなたには謙虚さがありますか？」をありがとう。すでに触れられているように、これはなかなか答えるのが難しい質問だと私は思います。「謙虚さ」には実に多くの定義があり、そのいくつかはすでに分かち合われていますね。私が特に心に留めているのは、ビルが『12＆12』の第7ステップのエッセイで語っている言葉です。そこでは、「神の意志を知り、それに従いたいという気持ち、あらゆる謙虚さの基礎にあるこの気持ち」(日本語版, p96) と述べられています。また、彼はそのエッセイの冒頭でこうも言っています。「どんなアルコホーリクも、ある程度の謙遜がなければ、飲まずにいることはできない」(日本語版, p93) と。
なので、ジョージの質問に対する私の答えは、「いいえ、私は謙虚さを『持っている（自力で身につけている）』わけではない」ということになります。しかし、私は毎日、神の御心を求めそれに従おうとする願いを持っています。これまでのところ、それだけで、ソーバーを保つことはもちろん、AA内外で有益な社会の一員でいるのに十分なようです。
もちろん、これはあくまで私の経験に過ぎません…あなたの経験とは異なるかもしれません。

Welcome to anyone who is new or relatively new to AA or to ESH... I hope you find here what I and many others have found, a way of living which works. Congratulations to any and all celebrating an AA milestone!
Thanks George for your topic of "Do you possess humility?". As has already been mentioned this is a tricky question to ask IMHO. There are a multitude of definitions of humility which has also been shared on, the one I tend to focus on is what Bill talks about in his essay on the 7th Step in the 12 x 12 is a basic ingredient of all humility is "a desire to seek and do God's will". He also says at the beginning of this essay that "without some degree of humility, no alcoholic can stay sober at all".
So the answer to your question for me is that no, I do not "possess" humility. But I do have the desire to seek and do God's will on a daily basis, and so far that seems to be more than enough to not only stay sober but to be a useful member of society...in and out of AA.
Of course this has just been my experience...yours may be different.
