ロリと私は今朝このあとで、19ポンドの七面鳥をローストする予定です。これは昨日塩水に12時間浸したものです。私はすでにパンプキンパイとブラートヴルストのスタッフィング（※）を作りました。刻んだ青リンゴや大きめの赤タマネギも入っています。
明日は私にとって86回目のサンクスギビングです。感謝の祈りを捧げ、そのあとグリーンベイ・パッカーズ対デトロイト・ライオンズの試合を観ます。パッカーズが奇跡を起こして勝てることを願っています。

The sky is yet dark, meaning it's early morning in Waupun, Wisconsin. After awakening and before I rose from bed, I offered my usual prayer, "Thank you."
Next, I took care of business in front of morning's mirror. Who is that old man looking back at me? I went downstairs to the kitchen and made coffee, strong, filled a cup, and then sat down before the computer screen.
Lori and I are going to roast a 19 lb. turkey later this morning that we had immersed for twelve hours in salt brine a day ago. I've already made pumpkin pie and Bratwurst stuffing with other goodies, including chopped green apples and large-sized red onions.
Tomorrow is my 86th Thanksgiving Day. I will say a prayer of thanks, and we'll watch the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions' game, hoping the Packers can perform a miracle and win.
Sobriety has been a gift for a good length of time for which I am most thankful. And that's the way it works for me.
