しかし、それが世の中の流れなのでしょう。人々は本を読む量が減っており、その結果、原著の164ページ (第11章まで) はますます難しいものになっています。語彙や文章構造も複雑です。ですから、プレーン・ランゲージ版が、原文ではメッセージを十分に受け取れない人たちに届くのであれば、それは良いことだと思います。

I suspect the next edition of the Big Book will be a series of 30-second TikTok videos.
But that’s the way of the world. People are reading less, which makes the original 164 pages even more of a challenge. The verbiage and sentence structure are complex. So maybe a Plain Language edition will reach those who can’t absorb the message thru our original text. If so, that is a good thing.
And you know, we have a lot of people walking thru our doors who are illiterate, so maybe Big Book TikTok videos are an idea worth pursuing.
