の仲間の皆さん、こんにちは。私の名前はリン・C、間違いなくアルコホーリクです。1985年5月20日の最初のミーティング以来、神の恵みと仲間の皆さんの助けによってソーバーでいられています。その奇跡に心から感謝しています。
ソーバーの最初の頃には、私にとって黙想はほとんど不可能なものでした。いろいろな方法を学び、ワークショップにも参加しましたが、うまくいきませんでした。しかし、私が関わった多くの仲間たちにとってうまくいく方法を見つけました。それは三段階の感覚的な瞑想です。
まず、静かに快適に座り、ただゆっくりと頭を左右にできる限り動かし、些細な点に意識を集中します。頭で考えず、ただ目で捉えるだけです。椅子の上の一本の毛、手すりの傷、小さなアリや虫。それらについて考えず、ただ心を忙しくさせるように、それを認識します。この動作を2〜3分行います。
次に聴覚でも同じことをします。はっきり聞こえる音ではなく、普段は気づかないかすかな音に意識を向けます。普段はほとんど気づかない小さな音です。それについてもまた、考えずにただ気づくだけに留めます。
次に、身体の感覚についても同じことをします。お尻にかかる椅子の圧力は、背中や腕の置き場所にかかる圧力とは違います。顔に当たるそよ風、わずかに揺れる髪、鼓動の感覚などを感じます。
これら3つの感覚のエクササイズを終えるころには、10分ほど経っており、心から休まったと感じられます。
私は毎朝、自分の静かな時間を持つために、Transitions Daily (※1) から届くその日の黙想のメールや

グループのメールを読んでいます。すべて読み終えた後、ゆっくりと声に出して第3ステップの祈りを繰り返し、その祈りが自分の人生にもたらす意味を味わいます。
その祈りと黙想で一日を始めると、物事がうまく運びます。

Hello ESHr’s My name is Lin C and I am definitely an alcoholic. Sober by Gods grace and with your help since my first meeting on 05/20/85 and totally grateful for that miracle.
In early sobriety meditation was basically impossible. I’ve studied various methods and attended workshops but no. I did find a method that works well for many of the women I have worked with. It’s a 3 phase sensory type meditation.
First I sit quietly and comfortably and I simply slowly turn my head from as far as I can one way to the other and take note of the small insignificant details. I don’t think about them at all just identify. A hair on a chair, a scrape on the rail, a tiny ant or bug. I simply without thinking about them busy my mind with noting its item. 2–3 minutes.
Then I do the same with hearing. Not the obvious sounds but the faint stirrings underneath the usual level of hearing. Small sounds that are usually not noticed. I, again, don’t think about them but simply note.
I then do the same with physical feelings. The pressure of the chair on my butt is different than on my back or where my arm is resting. The breeze on my face. My hair being blown slightly. The feel of my heart beating.
By the time I’ve practiced these three sensory exercises, it’s been about ten minutes and I genuinely feel rested.
For myself I practice quiet time in the mornings by reading my daily meditations email from Transitions Daily and whatever ESH groups that have come in and at the end of reading all slowly and aloud, I repeat the 3rd step prayer aloud and very slowly to enjoy its significance in my life.
When I start my day with that it just goes better. Thank you for letting me share.
