の今週のミーティングへようこそ。

ミーティングの構成は、司会者がその週のトピックを選び、グループの誰もがそのトピックについて分かち合ったり、あるいはトピックの代わりに、その月に対応するステップや伝統についてシェアすることができます。例えば、11月にはステップ11や伝統11についてシェアすることができます。より多くの仲間の参加を促すことを目的として、最近このように変更しました。

はメールを用いたグループであるため、シェアする人は、他の形式のミーティングで見られるような笑顔やうなずく姿が見えません。私たちの中には、メールで返事を送ることでその共感や賛同を伝える人もいます。しかし、グループ全体への投稿を最小限に抑えるために、個人的なメッセージはグループを通さず、直接その人に送るようお願いしています。

のミーティングは日曜日の未明早朝以降（米国東部標準時）に始まり、次の土曜日の午後11時59分まで、メンバーは分かち合いを行うことが出来ます。全メンバーは、ご自身のAA記念日である・デートに分かち合いを行うことが推奨されています。AA以前の生活がどうだったか。何が起こって、現在はどうなっているかを、グループの仲間に教えてください。

の仲間の皆さん、おはようございます。

今週、の節目のバースデーを迎える仲間の皆さん、おめでとうございます！私自身は、今週木曜日の4月2日に25年を迎えます――神様のみ心があればこそですね！やったー！！

に初めて参加される仲間たち、ようこそ！そして、2026年の新しい奉仕を任されたしもべ（役割担当）の皆さんに心から感謝します。

立ち直ったアルコホーリクのドミニクです。（スリップをして）今回あらためてAAに来て、30日のを得たとき、自分が25年もの間ソーバーでいられて、AAで活動し続けることになるとは思いもしませんでした。あっという間でした。これは神様がくださった奇跡以外の何ものでもありません！1）ソーバーになりたいと望んだこと、2）を持ったこと、そして 3）のニール・Aに導かれて、初めてに沿ってに取り組んだこと――これらの決断は、私の人生で最良のものでした！これらの決断がなければ、この奇跡は決して起こらなかったと私は思います。そして、他の多くの恵みもまた、起こらなかったでしょう。

私だけでなくほとんどの人にとって、幸せで喜びに満ちた自由な人生という奇跡のただ中にとどまり続けるためには、生涯を通じて頼れる存在が必要だということを学びました。この25年の間に私は2人のとつながり、南カリフォルニアに戻ったときにニール・Aのもとへ戻りました。こんなふうになるとは思ってもいませんでしたが、今では何でも話し合ったり、自分の過ちや秘密を打ち明けたり、個人的なことについて本音で話せる相手が何人もいます。AAに来たばかりの頃には、そういう相手は一人もいませんでした。

25年の記念日が近づく中で、神がその大部分を取り除いてくださった自分の性格上の欠点を二つ、振り返っています。それは衝動的な怒りと自己中心的な恐れです。今では、神が性格上の欠点を取り除いてくださるとき、それはしばしば「寛解状態」にあり、抑えられているだけなのだと考えるようになりました。しかし私の経験では、そうして取り除かれた欠点も、霊的な成長に焦点を当てて自分の人生を整えていなければ、再び醜い顔をのぞかせることがあります。いわば「通常モードのドミニク」が、「昔のドミニク」に戻ってしまうのです。幸いなことに、ステップ10がこうしたことが頻繁に起こるのを防いでくれています。

最近では、自己中心的な恐れや衝動的な怒りがほとんど現れないことに、よく驚かされます。仮にそれらが出てきても、必要であればすぐに修正したり埋め合わせをしたりすることができます。妻の健康上の問題を考えれば、私の人生は不安や恐れ、怒りで満ちていてもおかしくありません。それでも多くの場合、自分の力以上の働きができているように感じながら、一日一日を最大限に生き、家庭の中でより奉仕的なリーダーになれているように思います。とはいえ、それは決して簡単なことではありませんでした。これらはすべて、人生のあらゆる場面にきちんと向き合い責任を引き受ける中で、神の力と恵みが私の人生に働いてくれているからだと信じています。

というわけで、今週のトピックには二つの選択肢があります。
1）回復において頼れる存在（）が果たす役割の重要性についてシェアしてください。
または
2）恐れや怒り、その他の欠点がどのように神によって取り除かれたり抑えられたりしたかについてシェアしてください。
さらに別の選択肢として、ステップ4や伝統4についてシェアしていただいても構いません。

WELCOME TO THE ESH WEEKLY MEETING

The structure of an ESH meeting is that the chairperson selects a topic for the week and anyone in the group has the option to share on that topic or as an alternative, a member may share on the step or tradition correlating to the month of the year. For example, in November you may share on Step 11 or Tradition 11. This is a recent change we hope will encourage more participation.

Since ESH is an email-based group, a person who shares does not see the smile or nodding head that he/she does in other meeting formats. Some of us provide that validation through an email response. In order to keep the postings to a minimum for the entire group, we do request that personal messages be sent directly to that person and not via the Group.

The ESH meeting will begin no earlier than Sunday morning anytime after midnight EST and members are requested to post their shares no later than the following Saturday night at 11:59 PM EST. All members are encouraged to share their A.A. anniversary on their annual sobriety date. Tell the group what your life was like before AA, what happened, and what it's like today.

Good morning ESH:

Congratulations to anyone celebrating a sobriety milestone this week! As for me, I will be celebrating 25 years this Thursday, April 2nd—God Willing! Yay!!

Welcome to anyone new to ESH! A big thank you to the new 2026 Trusted Servants.

Dominic recovered alcoholic. When I came to AA this time around and got 30 days of sobriety, I never thought I would stay sober and be active in AA for 25 years. In no short order is this anything else but a miracle from God! The decisions of 1) Wanting to get sober, 2) getting a sponsor, & 3) working the 12-steps the first time by the Big Book, led by my Sponsor Neil A., have been the best decisions of my life! Without these decisions, I believe this miracle would have never happened. And many other blessings wouldn’t have happened either.

I’ve learned that to stay in the middle of the miracle of a happy, joyous, and free life, I, and most everyone, need a go-to person in their life, throughout our lives. I’ve had 2 sponsors in 25 years, returning back to Neil A. when I moved back to southern CA., I wouldn’t have predicted this, but these days I have several men I can go to process anything, confess a wrong or a secret, or have real discussions about my personal life with. When I arrived here, I had none.

In the days leading up to my 25th Sobriety Anniversary, I find myself reflecting on 2 of my character defects that God has mostly removed: impulsive anger and self-centered fear. I now believe that often when God removes a character defect, it is in remission, has been arrested. Yet, my experience is that removed character defects can show their ugly heads again if I am not nurturing and centering my life on growing my spiritual condition. The default Dominic can turn into the old Dominic. Fortunately, the 10th step helps prevent this from happening frequently.

I’m often amazed at how self-centered fear and impulsive anger rarely show up these days and when they do, I am quick to make correction or an amends if needed. With my wife’s health challenges, my life should be filled with worry, fear, and anger. Yet, most of the time, it seems I am operating well above my pay grade, making the most out of every day and becoming more of a servant-leader in the home. Yet, it hasn’t been easy. I believe this is all due to the power and grace of God working in my life as I suit up and show up for all aspects of my life and take responsibility for them.

So, for this week’s topic, I have two to choose from: 1) Share on the importance of the role of your go-to person (sponsor) in your recovery. Or 2) How God removed or arrested fear, anger, or any other defect. As another alternative, you can also share on the 4th step or the 4th tradition.
