Hello all, Kitza and happy to be part of this beautiful program. Thank you for the topic, go me thinking about a couple resentments that took a long time to get over because of gossip. When I first got into the program I got a sponsor right away, wanted to work the steps and get better. Well I had shared some very personal stories with my sponsor. For what ever reason she felt she needed to pass this information onto my then boyfriend, who was also in the program. Well then the he shared it and off this gossip went and started taking a life of its own. Within a short time was hard for me to believe it was the same story. I was very hurt and humiliated to say the least. I dropped that sponsor, broke up with my boyfriend and looked for a new meeting. I hung onto that anger and hurt for a LONG time. It took several years for me to get another sponsor let alone want to do a 4th step with anyone. Lucky for me my HP kept me wanting what the program has to offer. After many 24 hours this situation still plays a part in my life and I am very careful not to gossip about others. It hurts too many people and sometimes for years. Thanks for letting me share.
