皆さん、今日もどうぞシラフの一日を。今週のテーマは良いテーマですね。「フェローシップ」という言葉が何を意味するのかを考えると、私にはその意味がはっきりします。この言葉は、文脈が重要です。AAという大きな枠組みの中では、それは「霊的な共同体」を意味します。今回マイクが行った区別は、おおよそ適切なものだと思います。それは、仲間たちが単なる社交や交流を「フェローシップ」と呼んでいることを指摘するものですね。
私個人の気持ちとしては、普段から「フェローシップ」という言葉をもっぱら霊的な意味で使っています。それと同じく、「good morning」と「God morning」の違いも意識しています。自分がどんな原理に従っているのか、あるいは従っていないのかを、日々はっきりさせるために、私はそのことを定期的に思い出させてもらう必要があります。そして、もっと正直であることや、見返りを求めない奉仕、あるいは日々の生活の中で行っているさまざまな霊的な実践に、立ち返る必要があります。仲間のAAメンバーと笑顔を交わしたり、ハグしたりすることも、霊的な旅路の一部になり得ます―― まさに commUnity ですよね。(※1) しかし、自分の手柄を吹聴し始めたり、会話が外部の問題や噂話へとそれ始めたりしたら、私はAAの本来の道のりから外れないようにする責任があります。
何事もそうですが、実践、実践、気づき、そしてさらに実践ですね。

Happy sober day, all. The topic is a good one, and is clear for me when I see what "fellowship" means. The context for this word is important. Under the umbrella of AA, it means fellowship of the spirit. The distinction made is appropriate, in general, and points to people calling socializing "fellowship."
In my mind and speech, I use the word fellowship only in the spiritual sense, and see the difference between "good morning" and "God morning" - so to speak. I need to be reminded regularly - to make clear, daily - what are the principles that I am following, or not, and need to get back to more honesty or selfless service or the many spiritual exercises in my life. Smiling and hugging fellow AA members can be part of the spiritual journey - commUnity. However, if I begin to toot my own horn or the conversation begins to stray to outside issues or gossip, I have a responsibility to resist falling off the path.
Like everything else, practice, practice, awareness, and more practice.
