私はまず、「bedevilment」という言葉の意味を辞書で調べました。ほかの
ESHExperience, Strength, and Hope - 経験と力と希望グループ
の仲間も同じことをしたようです。
しかし、52ページ（日本語版p76、第四章）の「bedevilments（悩み苦しみ）」とステップ9の約束（プロミス、第六章 日本語版p120 - p121）を結びつけて考えるよう求められているのだと気づいたとき、トニーが出してくれた今回のテーマはさらに深く、実りあるものになりました。ジャック・Aさんの投稿はまさにそれを行い、それぞれの「bedevilment」に対応する「promise」を一つずつ当てはめてくれました。それによって私は、「約束 promise」が自分自身にとって現実のものとなったことを実感できただけでなく、52ページに列挙されているそれぞれの「bedevilment」が、かつての（飲んでいた頃の）私の人生に実際に存在していた「悩み・苦しみ」の一つ一つに対応していたのだと気づくことができました。
というわけで、トニーとジャックのお二人に感謝します。そして、このテーマについて分かち合ってくださった仲間の皆さんにも感謝します。

I first looked up the meaning of the word "bedevilment" in the dictionary. I see that other members of ESH did the same. But I found Tony's topic even richer and profitable when I realised that I was urged to link the "bedevilments" of page 52 to the Step 9 promises. Jack A. did just that and matched each bedevilment to a corresponding promise. That is what helped me not only to realise that the promises had come true for me, but that they also corresponded each one of them to a true bedevilment in my past life, as they are listed on page 52.
So thank you to both Tony and Jack. And all of you who share on topic.
