Thank you for this week's topic.
I’m thankful for the power of the God of my understanding and the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.
I’m thankful that I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired enough to realize I was going to have to finally follow through and get help. That I was and am powerless over alcohol.
I’m thankful that a nurse asked me If I wanted to talk with someone from AA and I said yes. I’m thankful that a gentleman carried the message to me at the hospital and then came and picked me up and took me to my first meeting.
I’m thankful that although I’ve relapsed, I kept coming back.
I’m thankful that gratitude is not only an emotion but more importantly it’s an action. After all, our program is a program of spiritual action not emotion or knowledge.
