Hi everyone, thanks so much for the topic. I’ve always loved hearing readings from *Vision for You*. This is a really difficult question and one that’s also hard to answer honestly.

I would say first and foremost that what I am today is that I’m far more content with my life than I ever have been before, because AA and its principles have taught me to be accepting. Am I more respected? Am I better than I was before? Do I accomplish more? Am I more productive? In many ways, the answer to those questions is sometimes no. And it’s because part of my problem as an addict wasn’t that I did too little; it was that I did too much, and then I crashed.

And AA and sobriety have given me the opportunity to accept myself for exactly who I am and exactly what my limits are, and to not need to be more than that, to not need to hurt myself and the people around me with all the striving.

But then another way of looking at this is that, yeah, things are more productive than they used to be. I never could have accomplished everything that I’m accomplishing right now. It’s just that I have a much richer, more complicated life today, and I no longer operate like an addict who can get really good at one thing for a short time before it all falls apart.

So yes, in my estimation, things are going very well, and I am so grateful and so happy for the changes that AA has wrought in my life.

Thanks everyone for reading, and I hope everyone has a peaceful week.

Kevin
